For years, I believed healing meant fixing myself first and returning to life once I was “whole.” What I’ve learned instead is that healing is iterative. It happens in real time — in how we respond to stress, how we speak to ourselves when we’re overwhelmed, and how willing we are to pause instead of push. This is what healing while showing up actually looks like.


Healing While Working Without Burning Out

One of the biggest myths around healing is that it requires a total reset or a clean break from responsibility. In reality, many people are navigating mental health challenges while still working, leading, parenting, or building something meaningful.

Healing while working means redefining productivity. It means recognizing that sustainability matters more than output, and that rest isn’t something you earn after burnout — it’s something you integrate to prevent it.
